I can't go shopping yet, but I thought I would post a few of my ideas and see if I can get any comments/discussion/ideas!
How great are these? I'm thinking these would be fantastic awards for cooperative learning, best table manners, top speller, 1st place winner for the Great Poetry race? I can think of a million ideas.Oriental Trading, $10 for a dozen

$15 for a customizable banner? Puh-leeze! Now I just need to think of exactly what I want it to say.....The best part is that the Hard Rock Cafe is going to send me something for my lunch menu bulletin board. I am checking the mail every day now!

ReplyDeleteI purchased the trophy (one larger sized one) last year and adhered a label to the base that read "Rockstar Reader of the Day". After my strategy lesson I gave my class time to practice the strategy during independent reading. Then I had the kids share out. For ex: if we worked on connections, I would ask them to practice and share out a connection. I awarded the first person to share the trophy to sit on their desk all day. The kids loved it!

ReplyDeleteI have chosen to do this theme as well. I have thrown in the black and white zebra print to give it that 80's rocker fun! I will have to post some pictures once I am done. So far I have added zebra print cushions to my 2 white whicker loveseats. I have a zebra lampshade. I have some fun purple shag pillows and matching rug. Working on all the other musical details!!
